Maths- Finding the circumference of a circle

Today in maths we were measuring the circumference of the big circle on the court. I found that it was 12 of my feet length, and last week I found that four of my feet were 1 metre. Which means it was 3 metres after I converted it.
Then I calculated by using the formula C = pi x D.         pi = 3.14
Which looks like this C = 3.14 x 3metres = 9.42 metres.
So the circumference was 9.42m.
The circumference is the edge of the circle. I can use this with my class worksheets.
